The reason I am telling you this is not because of my misfortune - other's were losing there homes BUT because Panasonic don't make the electrical part anymore and the TV had to be thrown out. We've finally got a nice sunny day this morning, the rain's followed my step-daughter up to the Whitsundays for her honeymoon. <strong>I was watching a news clip last night of a wedding that got washed out in the Melbourne storms. This winter has been mildly wet but that follows on the footsteps of a 5 (at least) year drought. Some years we'll have so much rain, and snow up in the Sierras, that the spring run off causes a heap o' problems. Its strange to cross a river bed that has been dry for decades on a Monday and then on Tuesday the water is lapping at the roadway, which is anchored on 50' pilings and the bridge is 1/4 mile across. <strong>Sounds somewhat familiar especially to our folks up north. </strong> Here in the central valley of California we go through long periods of extreme swings also. The change wasn't due to these rains but new water measures including a new aquafer bore coming online.
