Take Him Down

Thanks to Muppet’s Mum for her guest appearance.  She’s contemplating making a habit of these events so you might be hearing more from her over time.  Maybe we could be entertained with some of Muppet’s antics from time to time too.  Little Muppet starts school on the 1 February so I’m sure we’ll have a monumental missive for that one.

Back to meme briefly.  From today’s local rag.  This is the guy we were to sit in judgement and it’s one case I was glad came to a premature end.  He was up on quite a few other charges too but they were thrown out principally because of the first line of the third last paragraph.

This case, and watching the ferals hanging around the Court, made me think I’m insulated from a very seedy part of life and it can stay that way too.

  1. I wonder why ferals like to hang out near the lock-up?

It makes it easier to come and go?

    Crikey!
    What a dirtbag.

    shammy – Indeed!

  3. AZ says:

Crazies they’re all over the place aren’t they?

    What, you have them too!

So he could be out in 31/2 years, seems to me he got off far too lightly, the same questionable light sentences happen in this area too.

    muscat55 – He’s already been on remand for a year so he’ll be out in 2 1/2

I was given a visitor’s tour of the Old Adelaide Goal many years ago. Seeing that horrible place would be enough to keep anyone on the right side of the law.

Randy – The Old Melbourne jail isn’t much better. Somehow I doubt a dose of these places would deter some of these characters.

You got lucky, i would not want to be on his bad side.

June – Not a nice guy.

  7. Not to sound calloused but that sounds like just a small part of a routine shift for cops here in California. With our overcrowded prisons, the convict would only get 1 year in county jail and then released after 6 months and placed on probation.

PD – And the merry-go-round keeps going around.
