I was going to post some photos of our bike ride along the Port Fairy to Warrnambool Rail Trail but it can wait as I stumbled across Rebecca Barry last night and I’ve been splitting my sides ever since.
You have to hear this 8 year old from Dublin making prank phone calls. Apparently she’s a sensation around the world but I’ve never heard of her before. She’s setup by a radio station in Dublin but the kid is smart, cute and quick too.
Start with the call to the demolition company, and if you can get past that one, there are 3 more and several on Update 1 and 2. Hilarious.
I’ve taken the liberty to linking to another blog, Merchant Prince, and check out the 1339 comments! Get it HERE.
Now that she’s older (I’m guessing 12) is she still doing prank calls? What was incredibly cute at 8 may not be so at 12. I did enjoy the audios, but being young, cute, and funny is short lived at best. I’ve noticed in the tweens and teens in our family that their humor is easily mistaken for contempt.
Thank you for bringing Becky to our attention, what an intriguing little girl, I just loved the ‘school demolition’, it broke me up.
Sooo funny and so quick, I’ve sent it on.
Hehehe, glad you found Becky.
She’s pretty cheeky and the accent doesn’t help matters!
Something about the Irish accent. My mother was Irish and they never lose it either.
Isn’t she precious? I think I have heard the school episode before but it’s still cute. Thanks for sharing that.
The first wank word I ever heard years ago was “ball park figure”. When she used that in the demolition episode, I ended up howling more than the “top man”.
